Baldur's Gate 3 - Influencer PR Kit

A supplies kit suited for the finest adventurers of Faerûn

THE PROJECT:

Developed and published by independent video game developer Larian Studios, Baldur’s Gate 3 is the third entry in the legendary tabletop-style RPG series set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe.

To complement the extensive collector’s edition, TAKEOFF was also asked to create a high-end influencer PR package to generate buzz around the game's launch. 

Larian wanted the influencer kit to be equally as impressive but not overshadow the collector's edition, and needed a strong concept that tied all the items together while retaining the quality Larain strives for.

THE SOLUTION

At its core, DnD is an adventure storytelling game, and what better way to start your adventure than with an adventurer’s kit?

Using the adventurer’s kit as the foundation theme, I managed the creative team and worked closely with the production manager to ensure feasibility across all kit elements.

The kit included:
- A bronze cast of a gold piece (the in-game currency) plus a leather bag to keep your gold in
- An oversized metal D20 with a red patina
- A branded tankard for your favourite drink at the local tavern
- A map of Faerûn, a branded 60-page adventurer’s journal, complete with original Larian artworks turned into a “sketched” style
- A painting of Raphael, everyone’s favourite fiend
- A wax-sealed scroll with a note from the developers
- Postcards of the origin characters 

The kit reached a broad audience, with 263.5k+ views and 32.3k+ likes across YouTube & TikTok, with an additional 3k+ saves and 3k+ reshares on TikTok.
